India Adorned opens at the Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park on July 12 and runs through April 19, 2009. The exhibition reveals the colorful diversity of Indian creative expression, presenting an evocative collection of works used in the daily routine of a typical Indian family - objects of worship, personal and domestic adornment, utility and recreation.

The Joy Luck Club, presented by the Asian American Repertory Theatre, runs August 15 through September 14 at The Lab at the Academy of Performing Arts in Mission Valley (Friday and Saturday 8:00pm, Sunday 2:00pm only)

The Summer Shakespeare Festival at the Old Globe in Balboa Park runs from June through September. This year's outdoor extravaganza includes timeless classics All's Well That Ends Well, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Romeo and Juliet.
